ViscoTechVISCOTECH is an efficient, easy-to-operate, rheometer upgradeable to
STRESSTECH. The VISCOTECH system was designed following a modular
concept, and can be upgraded to meet a user's expanding needs and
requirements without any compromise in performance. VISCOTECH DSR,
a research grade Dynamic Shear Rheometer (DSR), is specifically designed
to exceed all SHRP instrument testing requirements. VISCOTECH or
VISCOTECH DSR, assures the user of always economically meeting their
present and future testing needs.

INSTRUMENT SET-UP

VISCOTECH is an instrument for R&D and QC. It is delivered with all necessary parts to start a
measurement. This includes:

VISCOTECH instrument, MS Windows software, Measuring system, concentric cylinders CC25,
Air regulator and filter, Inertia Compensation for obtaining meaningful rheological data, Automatic
gap setting, Automatic Gap Control.

BASIC SOFTWARE
The ViscoTech software consists of the following measuring programs:

Viscometry, Constant rate, Yield stress and Creep Recovery

The measuring programs in the ViscoLogic Basic software are described as follows: Viscometry:
In this test program, a stepwise stress is applied to the sample. 
The Viscometry measuring program is used for determination of sample flow and viscosity curves
and the yield point. Creep/Recovery: The Creep/Recovery measuring program is a test performed 
with a constant stress versus time.
The Creep/Recovery test gives as a result the steady state viscosity (n) and the steady state
compliance (Je0) in a diagram of compliance J versus time.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL UNITS
The instrument can be delivered with either thermostat liquid or resistively heated/adiabatically
cooled plates. The instrument can perform tests in constant temperature mode, gradient mode
and as temperature profiles.

ACCESSORIES

VISCOTECH can be delivered with a variety of different measuring systems and accessories.
Examples of measuring systems include: Concentric Cylinders, Double Gap, Cone/Plate, Parallel Plate;
customized measuring systems on request.

VISCOTECH can be upgraded to include measuring programs for Yield Stress, Constant Shear Rate, and
Quantitative Normal Stress. With an upgrade to a rheometer all oscillation programs become available.
